When doing water sports, many people wear sunglasses to protect them from the wind and blinding light. But if a pair of glasses gets lost, the fun on the water is quickly over. Even worse if they are corrected glasses. The Tech Cord from Chums is a unique goggle lock that consists of a single piece of silicone and, thanks to its light weight, does not interfere with movement and sport.
With the Tech Cord, you can secure your favorite goggles and avoid any trouble that could spoil your boat trip. The loops at the end fit over almost all goggle temples. The material is also robust and hard-wearing. A must for every outing on the water.
Chums is a friendly outdoor brand that grew out of a simple need. Mike Taggett was a river guide on the Colorado River and noticed that his customers often lost their goggles in the water. In 1983, he invented a practical solution to the problem: a neoprene goggle holder that held the sunglasses securely in place. He called it the Original Chums Retainer.
The Chums brand, named after the cheerful golden retriever Chumley, has been synonymous with a friendly, nature-loving attitude to life ever since. Their simple products secure our favorite parts and thus contribute to successful excursions and adventures on and off the water. Since 1985, a red-footed booby has been the mascot of the brand, which stands for adventure and travel on waters all over the world and today offers a wider range of products including goggle straps, cap retainers, bags, floating key rings and other practical items for adventure seekers.
The headquarters of Chums is located in Hurricane, Utah, near Zion National Park and surrounded by the vast nature of the southwestern United States. From there, the company continues to develop and produce smart new items for adventurous people and water activities. Without their products, we would have already sunk dozens of goggles and caps in Lake Constance.
