Buff
The history of the Buff brand began in Spain in the early 1990s and was born out of a simple need for a multifunctional garment for outdoor activities. Joan Rojas, a motorcycle enthusiast from Catalonia, was looking for a way to protect himself from the wind and weather during his long rides without having to wear many different items of clothing.
He began experimenting and eventually developed a seamless microfiber tube scarf that he could use as a scarf, headband, cap, face shield or bandana. This versatile accessory, first launched in 1992, was not only functional, but also offered comfort and protection from the sun, wind and cold - perfect for a variety of outdoor activities. Joan Rojas named the product "Buff", derived from the Spanish word bufanda, which means "scarf".
Rojas launched the first Buff on the market in 1992 and the product quickly became popular. Today, the Buff brand is internationally established and very popular with outdoor sports enthusiasts. It is still based in Catalonia and attaches great importance to quality and innovation. For example, the company focuses primarily on recycled fabrics and UV protection materials. Most of the production still takes place in Spain.
