About Orcival
Orcival is a traditional brand that was founded in Paris in 1939 and has been producing French quality textiles made of silk and cotton ever since. Around 1947, the company, now based in Lyon, began producing the famous striped sailor shirts for France's navy and the rest is now a great success story.
The name Orcival comes from a small village in Auvergne, which company founder Charles Bert was very fond of. The brand is still family-owned today and the name and the logo with the bee stand for simple, nautical clothing of the highest quality. The stripes on the shirts are no longer just navy blue, but hardly any other item of clothing stands so clearly for the love of water and the sea. C'est formidable!
